Google Home Chromecast
- Add Google Home location services. (If not already done during Pixel setup)
- Go to Pixel settings
- Search for ‘Location’
- Click Location in search results
- Click App permission. Services will display sorted by access level
- Find Google Home. If it is Denied, click it.
- Start Google Home
- Tap Get Started
- ALLOW Location access
- Open and Click the ‘+’ at upper left
- Tap Create new home
- Enter short dealer name and continue without home address
- Click the ‘+’ at upper left
- Tap Set up device
- Proceed to add new device and select your Home.
- Power and plug in Chromecast to the monitor HDMI port. The monitor screen will direct you to set up Google Home.
- Google Home will search for and find Chromecast.
- The monitor will display a code. Google Home will display the same code. Accept.
- YES to legal terms.
- NO to send usage
- At first device screen select create custom name.
- Enter ‘Photo Studio’ and Continue
- Select the wifi network and tap Next.
- Google Home and Chromecast will connect. Chromecast may update.
- YES to Linking to your Chromecast
- NO however to all services
- Chromecast/Google Home may update more services.
- Tap Continue when it’s ready.
- NO for tutorial
- Tap Finish tutorial. Google Home returns you to the main menu
- Click the Studio
- Tap Cast my screen
