Update Existing - and similar features from other data providers - arbitrate between photos from multiple sources that may include pictures you manually take and upload direct to vAuto when you receive a car, new car photos in a feed from a vendor like EVN, and photos from the EZ360 feed. It allows you to specify one source as the Primary.
It works on a vin-by-vin basis and only changes your stored vAuto photos if and only if the vAuto vin has existing photos and it receives new photos from EZ360.
It's only when EZ360 is used to shoot photos for a specific vin and those photos are sent to vAuto that anything happens.
- If Update Existing is off and the vin already has photos, the EZ360 pics are ignored.
- If Update Existing is off and the vin has no photos, the EZ360 pics are stored in vAuto.
- If Update Existing is ON, the EZ360 pics are stored in vAuto. If the vin had existing photos, those are replaced by the EZ360 pics.
Update Existing can safely be set up months ahead of time, even while you're waiting for your photo studio to be built. If EZ360 is not used to take photos, no photos are sent to vAuto, and nothing changes.
